What better to add to the festive feel of the Holidays than Poinsettias. And, they were the perfect answer to ..."what can I put on the credenza in the living room this year that would go along with my more natural theme in decorating".
I brought in this basket from the greenhouse, put in some chicken wire for support and added the poinsettias along with some eucalyptus branches...in cooler climes you have evergreens, in California we have eucalyptus. These were scooped up from some tree-trimmers working in the area.
The little bird ornament was made by my daughter at http://loveandlifeatleadora.blogspot.com/ several years ago...I wish she would make some again, they are so cute!
A ribbon and some glass ornaments add just a bit of sparkle
I don't think this credenza has every looked better. What do you think?
Thank you for visiting and...
Merry Christmas
The poinsettias look so pink, rather than red, must be a different variety than we have here.
ReplyDeleteI love the bird, I used to put one red cardinal in my Christmas tree at home in Maryland.
Very nice.

ReplyDeleteohhh... I'll bet the eucalyptus makes the room smell like the outdoors! it all looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhen we are in So California over the holidays, we were thinking of setting a date to meet for coffee... it will have to be after Christmas Day though...

ReplyDeleteHello Adrienne:
ReplyDeleteThe Poinsettia basket looks wonderfully elegant on the credenza, particularly so backed by the fabulous gilt mirror. The colour of the leaves of this particular variety of Poinsettia is so interesting and really works well with all the other elements in the arrangement. Perfect!!
Gorgeous poinsettia vignette, Adrienne! Any or all of these photos would make a wonderful Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a dramatic and beautiful arrangement, Adrienne! It looks like perfection with all the other elements. That exquisite mirror and chest, and of course the wall paper. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhen we stopped to pick up the eucalyptus from the tree trimmers, they probably thought you were a bit crazy. However, if they saw this beautiful arrangement you've made, I'm sure they would have taken the trimmings themselves! This is a lovely arrangement, both in the photograph and in person.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as usual! lots of inspiration for me.
