Is it possible to have too many dried Hydrangeas...I don't think so.
This latest batch was cut rather late in the season, although I saw a few more tentative blooms on the bushes. I gathered them altogether in the old tin bucket; the little snail is just there for company.
I wanted to find a place out of the direct sun to put them during the drying process. Normally I would hang them, but they looked so pretty I wanted to be able to enjoy. I wandered the house and finally found this spot, in of all places one of the bathrooms...but it is rather an elegant bathroom and they seem quite at home there. So for now...
That's where they stay!
A lasting remembrance of summer.
Thank you for visiting, I hope you have a flower-filled day.

They are nice how you have then placed. real homey . My mom used to do that and then she had also white dried flowers not sure what they were. Her being English they were sort of silver white and long stick stems when dried of course..
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty! Perfect where you placed them.

They look great where you placed them. I always have a few roses in the bathroom. I forgot to cut some for drying and I am going out in the garden today to see is there are any to salvage.
ReplyDeleteHave a sunny day.

They look gorgeous in the bathroom!
ReplyDeleteI must take my secateurs outside and cut some of mine...I am just not sure how safe they will be from the two cats once I bring them inside! They seem to think that everything I harvest is a toy...I find pea pods in the most unlikely places and a sprig of mint disappeared from the drying mat beside the sink.
Hi Adrienne! Your hydrangeas are gorgeous and look perfect just where you have them.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Those hydrangeas look lovely in the bucket with the crocheted cloth. I have some in my bedroom and I really enjoy them throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dried blooms. What a lovely place to display them. I always enjoy glimpses of your beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteI always dry my hydrangeas in vases and containers! I've never hung them to 'set' and I've never had a problem. I loved seeing yours in the old bucket. Think it's time to go harvest my hydrangeas!

Adrienne, they are gorgeous! They really look right at home in your elegant bathroom. I have some dried Limelight Hydrangea blooms inside blue bottles and a white washed box on my fireplace for Fall. Enjoy those fabulous blooms! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
