I have this little etagere, it is very cute but it has always been one of those things that was hard to place. At various times it has been on one of the decks, in the media/library room, the bedroom, and even in the bathroom...then out of desperation, stored away.
But at last I think I have found the perfect place for it...next to french doors in the kitchen. Now, what to put on it?
How about stacking a few old plates...
Nice, but it needs a little something else. Oh! some pots of herbs...and maybe a little bird or two, or even three.
That's better! At last.
Do you have anything like this little etagere that you absolutely adore but can't find just the right place to put ...or is it just me.

Hello Adrienne:
ReplyDeleteMay we steal it?!!!!!
We love your etagere and cannot believe that you have had it tucked away for so long. It looks so pretty with the vintage plates and plants in pots, we are so pleased that it finally has been allowed to see the light of day!!
I just brought mine out again, added some nice white plates and have my oranges and apples on it on my kitchen counter as it is only about 2 feet tall.
ReplyDeleteYours looks so nice. I like the different elements used. Old, live, fun.
Dear Adrienne,
ReplyDeleteYou always find the right place for the right thing! just perfect! Blessings Catherine
I've never had one...but always wanted one as I think they are so elegant. What you did with yours is genius! :-)

ReplyDeleteAdrienne, this is exquisite!! Don't you love when you finally find the perfect spot for your things? Truly lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteYou amaze me with all the talent you have in decorating...your home is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty with the plants and herbs - you have such a beautiful home! I have a LOT of things that I love that I can't find a place for.....that is safe from the clutches of my 2 toddlers! :) Some moms can have beautiful homes with white slip-covered sofas, and sadly, I am not one of them :). (The first thing I thought when I saw your post was..."oh, those plates would last maybe 2 minutes here!") They're worth it though :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely with the plates and the little bird!

I had the exact same problem and it is down in a guest room and I still don't love it, but the way you finished this one inspires me!
ReplyDeleteI read about your blog disappearing and I know your pain. I couldn't blog for about 2 weeks, I felt like it could just be removed anytime and it was so disheartening. Now I feel like I have it permanently!
Oh, this is so pretty! Thank you for joining me at Home Sweet Home!
