I have lots and lots of daffodils blooming this year all around the garden. It is too warm here for many bulbs to bloom but those in the Narcissis family do very well. Every year in the fall I add a few more bulbs and I love seeing them pop up in all the unexpected places. Down the center of my driveway I have put in dozens of miniture daffodils they are short enough so I can drive my car over them, right now they look glorious.
I have designed my new header in honor of this lovely flower, it is a Celebration of Daffodils!
Thank you for visiting, I hope you have a golden day.

I LOVE Daffodils! I named my little, vintage trailer Daffodil - because God sent Daffodils to bring me joy and rest in a difficult place many years ago. They always remind me of the joy and rest I found. Ours are just starting to peek through the soil. Thank you for sharing yours with me.

I cannot wait for the daffs to bloom. Yours are bright and cheerful and they seem early. Do they usually bloom mid February? Ours will be out in March sometime.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous. mine are up, showing buds. Very unusual for Feb. in Mo. I love them so. I plant more every Oct. It is just part of fall. Richard from My old Historic house.

ReplyDeleteI love daffodils too! We have quite a few in our garden, lots of different varieties. We are still several weeks away from seeing blooms though.
ReplyDeleteHi, Adrienne. Thanks for visiting and your sweet comment. Please stop back by--I wasn't done with the post and was shocked to see I'd published it by mistake!! Yikes! So there's more there:) I love, love, love your daffs--I'd be curious to know if you cut them when they stop blooming or do the rubber band thing. I've given up on bulbs because they are beautiful when in bloom, but not so much later. And I not only COMPLETELY understand why you had to grab that bargain basket, but I love all the beautiful vignettes you created. Lovely; thanks for the ideas, and the beautiful photography. ~Zuni
