In the back of my garden in a far, far corner I planted this peach tree. It is a special variety for planting in areas that receive little winter chill. Every year it is the first of my fruit trees to bloom and even if it didn't produce fruit I would love it for it's visual impact alone.
Delicate, candy pink blooms cover the entire tree...
when they slowly fall off the green leaves will appear...
followed by the beginings of the fruit.
I love looking at the blue sky through the flowering branches ~ so beautiful
Underneath this dog stands duty, unfortunately he doesn't frighten away the squirrels possums or birds which find the peaches as equally tasty as I do!
The pot in the back contains a Clematis vine which clamours up the birdhouse post and produces the prettiest purple flowers, but that all comes much later for now the tree supplies all of the glory.
Are there any signs in your garden of Spring approaching?

Pink buds of beauty. Clever that you planted that tree to be a harbinger of the Spring.
ReplyDeleteNice contrast of blue sky and pink petals:)
The pink buds are so very pretty! The birdhouse peeking in the background is awfully cute too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE all those pretty pink flowers. I would love to have one of those trees in my yard. They remind me of candy;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great night

The photos are lovely. The blue sky showing through the blossoms is very striking. I really like the birdhouse with the blossoms too.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I have one bloom on our peach tree!
ReplyDeleteNo spring yet here in my part of Ontario but I've thoroughly enjoyed looking at yours. Your photos are really gorgeous and I love the contrast of the brilliant blue sky with those perfect pink blossoms!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blossoms. Your photos are always inspiring.
ReplyDeleteHa! The only blossoms I'm seeing these days are on my breakfast cups--I have a new pattern, Riviera by Bernardaud, and I'm loving it. It's just too early to even think of blooms here in Chicago, and honestly, it wouldn't feel right if we did have them. Give me winter for just a little while longer and then a beautiful Spring.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of peach blossoms and bird cages! Just my favorite things! Thanks for posting. ~CJ
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, your pink peach blossoms. Too early here though. But I've seen robins, and I don't think they ever flew south for the winter at all. We have some spring fowering bulbs sending up some leaf tips. We've had a pretty mild winter.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are wonderful!
Blessings, Linda
Oh, that looks so beautiful! I wish I could see signs of spring here...glad there's no snow though. Hope you have a good weekend :)

What pretty pink blossoms. There are a few signs of Spring around here-I see the crocus leaves popping out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Spring will arrive soon!

ReplyDeleteSo lovely Adrienne. I am keeping an eye on the Kwanzan Cherry in our backyard. We have had temps out of the ordinary this winter. Trees are budding, during Feb, in NE MO.
ReplyDeleteYour peach tree is beautiful! I enjoyed seeing blue sky peaking through the branches of your tree. Our skies are gray today - but it's not raining!

Hello Adrienne, I think Peach blossoms are so beautiful! I wish I had a tree! I tried a patio version, but it didn't make it. Love the image of the flowers against the sky! Thank you for sharing this lovely garden with Home and Garden Thursday,
