Good-bye glitter...
good-bye glitz...
good-bye sparkle.
Good-bye until next year. My, the house looks so bare!
Why is it so much fun to put up all of the Holiday decorations and so sad to take them down? The only one having fun is Miss Twiggley who thinks the round ornaments are balls to bat around, but at least she left them all alone when they were on the tree.
Il est vrai qu'on s'habitue à de belles décorations...
ReplyDeleteChez nous en France, nous retirons le sapin de noël à la mi-janvier seulement.
Gros bisous à vous et encore tous mes voeux pour 2013.
Well the glitter and glitz may be gone, but I'm sure there's another reason to decorate coming up soon. The 3rd of January is the Festival of Sleep Day--that could be quite fun to decorate for, or at least participate in. How about Fruitcake Toss on the 4th? Or National Hat Day on the 15th? Oh, Winnie the Pooh Day is the 18th! Fun. And don't forget Opposite Day later in the month.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, it's always fun and inspiring here.
Oh my, I hate to take it all down and put it away, that is a ton of work. Happy New Year. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWe'll be doing the same on New Years Day and it always feels so bare in the Bungalow when we take it all down. Spring won't be long and we'll be seeing the snowdrops and crocus pop up through the soil.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Adrienne.
It does always seem so bare. Your home is always a delight to look at.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
I dread putting it all away. I think we will ignore it awhile longer.
ReplyDeleteI don't like putting it away either. For us, traditonally the season is until January 6th, so I still have a week.
ReplyDeleteI just spent the entire day taking down decor and I'm still not done. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a very Happy New Year!
