I was browsing through some of my past issues of Victoria and I saw a picture of a lovely bouquet comprised of all foliage except for one perfect flower.
I thought this was a brilliant idea, so I decided to make my own version and showcase one lovely late blooming Dahlia...and one little ant.
For the foliage I used all herbs:rosemary, lavender, lemon verbena and rose geranium. Now the kitchen smells wonderful, an added plus.
What an great and easy way to bring the garden inside. This offers up a lot of possibilities during the winter months when flowers in the garden are somewhat scarce but there is always some type of greenery I can use.
Thank you for visiting. I hope there is a bouquet in your day.
Adrienne, so beautiful. Amazing what one little bit of beauty can do..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to keep in mind as the flowers stop blooming, but the foliage keeps on. Love the idea of using scented herbs.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely fall bouquet, Adrienne. I like the idea of using the herbs, that overwinter here on the coast, with one flower to make bouquets all winter long.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bouquet. I have a lot of that foliage also, so will have to make a pretty arrangement.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing. Can you believe this darn weather, I am cooked and so tired of it. I sure hope we have a cooler winter than last years.
Mary
I remember a foliage bouquet you showed last year that I was absolutely smitten with.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how good it must have smelled! What a perfect way to bring some greenery into our home during the winter. Have a great day.
