For many years I have been saving the old fashion valentines I have received ~ most of them were given to me by my daughter at: http://loveandlifeatleadora.blogspot.com/. For this Valentine's Day I decided that they really needed to be taken out of the drawer and enjoyed, so I took some of my favorites and put them on the bulletin board in my workroom... now for the month of February I can see them every time I sit at the computer...and as a blogger you know that is fairly often. Just another, plaisir simple de la vie...simple pleasure of life.
I hope that you enjoyed sharing these with me. Do you have a way to display your special valentines?
Very, very nice Adrienne! I wish I had some like yours! i love Chromos. Good week end Catherine

I am really loving your photo effects. I wish I had given some of those valentines to myself!:)
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy them! I have nothing like that around here. It's all pretty. The whole bulletin board, and each individual part.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea. I'm a sucker for vintage Valentine cards. Great simple pleasure.
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty!! I have one of those criss cross ribbon boards up by my sewing machine I put my letters and cards up there so I can look at them often! ~Have a wonderful weekend love Heather
ReplyDeleteI just love the look of vintage Valentine's. They just don't make them like that anymore.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Adrienne! It reminds me of the little "poetry albums" we had as children in the 60's and 70's - you would write a short poem in there and add little pictures top it like the ones you used here. Usually the album would go from friend to friend and in the end you get a full album back with all the entries from your friends. I still have mine!
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty and sweet! I need to get on the ball and get some out to display. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Adrienne,
ReplyDeleteYour board looks beautiful, what a great collection of cards!
hugs,
Bella
Adrienne, Your bullitin board looks so charming! Makes me smile which I am sure it does for you too!

Happy Pink Saturday Adrienne Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share. I love that you took out the Valentines and allowed us to see their beauty as well. I love the cupids, but that little angel surrounded by the pink roses is absolutely exquisite. So pretty.
I also love the hand one that is holding the rose. How unusual and delicate it looks. I am so tickled that you shared and allowed me to see as well.
I am Country Wings in Phoenix, your newest follower. I can't wait to see what you share next. I hope you will stop by and say hello, and I too would love to have you follow me. I enjoy sharing my day to day life, recipes and crafts along the way. It is SO much fun.

I LOVE Victorian Valentines! and Valentines in general bring such WONDERFUL memories of all the years in grade school that we exchanged them with the whole class... And all the girls were all giddy, and they boys could care less, hehe! Actually as the mother of three boys I KNOW they loved the day too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED your Post, it was so "Beautiful"!
Hugs to you,
Donna

I THINK I AM GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE ONE SIMILAR TO THIS because I have been drooling ever since I clicked on to your blog.
Thank you for sharing this today. I love Victorian Valentines.
I will also go see your daughters blog.
I am featuring a new blogger who is having a give away for one of her graphic designs and the winner can pick whatever color including pink.
