It has been almost two years ago that I had to put down my glorious, black Persian cat Mozart. He was special in so many ways: beautiful and loving and oh so mellow; I have missed him tremendously and I had almost given up hope of finding another feline friend, and then last weekend, this wonderful little girl came my way.

Miss Twiggley
(The following is in her words)
Well here I am, I sure hope I am going to like it here. Right now I am a little homesick...and this person keeps taking pictures of me. I guess I am rather adorable.
I found another cat but she won't come out and play...
Funny how she looks so much like me!
I like this couch although I needed a little help getting up here. I don't think this cat isn't going to be much fun either...
Maybe there is something more interesting on the other side.
Now here is a fun thing to bat at.
Yes...I think maybe I am going to like it here after all and the lady that keeps following me around taking pictures is a definite push-over. But right now...
I need a little nap!
In case any of you were wondering Miss Twiggley is named after a character in one of my favorite children's books: Miss Twiggley's Tree.

The kids and I just adore Miss Twiggley. She so precious, and it's going to be fun to watch her grow! Not only is Miss Twiggley quite pretty, she has a wonderful, outgoing personality too! You have one special cat!

ReplyDeleteIt is always sad when a pet dies and one vows never to repeat the process of caring for another as it is all too emotionally draining. But, serendipity usually makes sure that we fall in love all over again.
Miss Twiggley has certainly won your heart and we can absolutely see why. She is such an adorable kitten, full of mischief but oh so loveable! May you enjoy many, many happy years together.
She is just darling. I can't wait to show this post to the girls when I'm home from work later today. They are going to love Miss Twiggley. We are definitely cat people. Our kitten is now 10 months old and Miss Luna is such a delight. I'm so happy for you. Congratulations!

Oh my goodness--she is adorable! I love Persians. I recently rescued 5 regular kittens whose mother was killed. I adore your new baby!

ReplyDeleteI just dropped into bed after a long day of shopping and too much fun with Mother, and thankfully, I decided to check on you before turning in. I'm glad only the dogs are in my room, because if the Feline Overlords heard me squealing like this over fey Miss Twiggley, I think my favorite pillows would be ribbons by morning! Adrienne, she's so stunning! What purrrrrrfection! Even my husband was "Awwwwwww"ing when he saw her. You have a precious new ham in residence to steal the show.
