This is the way that my big border in front of the house looks like now...
This is the other side where you exit the path...first, in construction
And now!
I am so glad that I did this, it has made it so much easier to tend and it is fun to walk down the little path and see some of the new plantings. Plus, my poor arms and legs appreciate not getting so scratched up!
I love it when change turn out to be a good thing.
Thank you for visiting ~ have a great day!

What a beautiful path. So pretty and now functional too. Your grounds are so beautiful. Our poor drought has done a number on our flower and plant beds. It's been hard to get excited about working outdoors in 100 degree heat.
ReplyDeleteOlá. Feliz dia do amigo. Lindo esse jardim. aqui é inverno não se tem uma flor para embelezar os canteiros.
ReplyDeleteTenha um ótimo fim de semana.

That was the perfect solution - for working in the bed and for enjoying the garden up close!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Garden! I love it! Renée
ReplyDeleteYour border bed is incredibly beautiful. Good for you to have made that path, it sure lightens the garden chores. I am going to rip out the huge lawn in front of my house (corner lot, so there is a LOT) and replace it with native plants - a big, long project, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Your border bed is a fine inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Your garden is so lovely! The path is the perfect solution.

ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! I think your garden and yard are both just gorgeous and very lush.
ReplyDeleteI have a similar issue with one of the widest of my flower borders. By late spring it is almost impossible to get into the bed. The pathway you added looks super and your garden is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour flower border is just gorgeous and the pathway is a practical and pretty addition.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I have one area of my big planter that I can't get to once June hits. The path is perfect. Your plants are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.

lovely! the gravel path is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are a master gardener and I too love a path. This is just too sweet! I wish I could come and visit it in person. It's lovely.

I am not sure where you are located but you must not be having the high temps that we are and the drought. Your gardens looks so lovely and the new path is no only inviting but convenient. My gardens don't look as good this year even though I water them all the time. This is very unusual for this area of Western Illinois that I am in and I am fighting it. Reminds me of being back in Oklahoma where I used to live.
ReplyDeleteIt turned out lovely. Looks like it's always been there. Your garden is absolutely amazing and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful job, Adrienne! I love the flowing, overgrown look your garden has. And your new path truly adds so much character and personality to the space. :) LUV!
