Weekword - Senses

This week I was invited to participate in Weekword. The word for the week was "Senses". My interpretation (a rather loose one I must admit) is the sense of fun!

The fun of pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns in a jumble on the porch...

the fun of a jolly scarecrow waiting to greet trick-or-treaters on Halloween night...

and the fun of being just a little bit scared by a very, spooky ghost! Boo!

I hope this post brought to you a sense of fun.

If you would like to see more interpretations of this word, or would like to sign up to participate in Weekword please visit:

  1. I love the pumpkins! Hallowe'en isn't such a big thing here - we do have some trick or treating and sometimes parties, but not the full-on thing you have in the US. I wonder if we're subconciously saving ourselves for November 5th?

  2. oh my! I feel like I'm standing on your porch right now! do you have trick-or-treaters visit your house? my girls would have loved the ghost... they made small ghosts using a kleenex (tissue) in Camp Fire.
I'm so happy you participated in WeekWord. Hope you can get Heather involved too! Oh - I loved that your interpretation of "senses" was different than sight, touch, smell etc

  3. Very original post! Love the photo of the is interesting how he is off to the side and most of the photo is dark. Your front porch is so cute. I have got to start decorating mine too! :)

  4. Love your interpreation of senses. Wonderful post, and I always always love pumpkins!

  5. Thanks for the visit to my lil' blog. Aren't we lucky to get to garden here all year long? I love all your pumpkins in the hay on your porch. you are giving me some good ideas to do outside where we are decorating this weekend. My hubby and kids like it scary but I usually thrown in some extras on our patio just for me.
