What flower is more quintessential than the Daisy. Perhaps someone might not know the difference between a Foxglove and an Aster, but everyone recognizes a daisy. There is just something about the simplicity and the casualness of the flower that brings a smile of recognition and delight. These daisies that are sprawled so carelessly along the garden path are the very ordinary, old fashion Shasta Daisy, in my garden they refuse to stand up straight but I have become used to their 'floppy-do' habit and enjoy them anyway.

Beautiful pictures. I especially love the shot of the watering can next to your glorious daisies. I can't get enough of these flowers. We have beds and beds of them in our yard and I keep filling mason jars and bringing them to work. Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for your lovely comment from California. I have joined your beautiful site today, and will follow your blog. I think the header roses are amazing. And the daisy is a wonderful flower, do you know that the danish queen, Margrethe, is called Daisy by her family.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty daisies! I love shasta daisies, but they are quite floppy in my garden as well. However, I really like their happy faces, their shining attitude.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the daisies always seem to just pop up so naturally and effortlessly! Beautiful.
