I have quite a few birdhouses in the garden but these, mostly painted in my signature red paint, are some of my favorites. They are getting very old and very worn, sometimes I think that it is the many coats of paint that keeps them from falling apart ~ still I keep patching them back together because I love them.

Thanks for sharing your birdhouses and flowers. I enjoyed seeing them and I love the red:)
ReplyDeleteOh I love these birdhouses! The red is very striking and goes well with your flowers!

How quaint! I love your birdhouse collection. Red is a great color--one of my favorites. :)
ReplyDeleteHow charming and pretty...red really pops in the garden...love yours!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Queenie
I love your bird houses and red is my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

I think the row of birdhouses is just darling.
ReplyDeleteWe have a birdhouse hanging from a tree in the backyard that the birds have stuffed so full of whatnot that it's about to burst open. My husband is waiting for the babies to leave the nest and the parents to fly south later this year so he can put a few nails in it.
Adrienne, I love your red birdhouses, they look so pretty among all the green of the plants, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteHello Adrienne:
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely splendid and the 'house' colour is superb. And what a match to the hollyhocks! Chance or planned, we wonder?
I love the old paint on things. It looks so well used ,just as a birdhouse should look. If it looks too new they may think no one has used it and they wont use it either. Homes have stories of different families even birdhouses. Kathy
ReplyDeleteI love birdhouses too and yours are lovely-especially the first one.

le tue casette sono davvero deliziose....e quel colore gli da un tocco in più..ottimo gusto cara Adrinne
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birdhouses and photos, Adrienne!
ReplyDeleteLovely birdhouses. The first one is my favorite. We have a few in our yard that could do with some new paint. You've inspired me to take some pictures over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe first one looks like a grand cottage for a lucky bird!
ReplyDeleteHow many of them have families? I have a few in the garden, but for some reason they are seldom used!
ReplyDeleteFunny how birds don't care about paint - they just care about a place to lay their eggs and raise their babies. I've always waned to do a collection of bird houses in one spot of our garden and name it 'Katie Town ... a spot for wayward birds' hahaha!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the post and all the best, Katie from

Love your birdhouses. It is so much fun to watch the birds, isn't it? Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI love your birdhouses, I can see why you want to patch and save them. The first one is grand!
ReplyDeleteI was looking through my pics the other day & noticed I had a birdhouse pic from your place... what a great reminder of your beautiful gardens!
ReplyDeleteAre you getting some respite from the heat? and getting to putter in the yard? enjoy the weekend... we are decluttering & cleaning out stuff. John's been canning jam too!
I love your birdhouses! That one looks perfect in front of the hollyhock.
ReplyDeleteI have come to you via Cro. We have a garden thronging with birds here on my Welsh hillside but no birdhouses. I think they live in hedges and trees. At the moment the blackbirds are sharing the raspberries with us. I love your birdhouses though (and agree with your previous post about walking too!)
ReplyDeleteI have big old black starlings, so I do not put up a birdhouse. You certainly have a nice variety and styles.
ReplyDeleteI think even the birds can enjoy the primitive and the shabby. Your birdhouses are precious, Char
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for loving them. They are very charming. And your garden is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful...my hubby is working on some new bird houses for our garden form some old fencing from the yard...I can't wait for him to finish them! Love the red!!
ReplyDeleteOh there adorable and perfectly rustic!! Love Heather
ReplyDeleteLove your collection! Thanks for the sweet note that you left me. I am sorry that I don't get around blogger world as often as I should, but my little bug takes so much of my time... still can't sign in... vicky RS ~ Dec. 101
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birdhouses. They look very nice.
ReplyDeleteLove your birdhouses! They are so charming!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birdhouses, Adrienne. Do the birds actually nest in there or are they more of decoration? The photo of the birdhouse and the deep red hollyhocks is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is the sweetest little birdhouse village I've ever seen. Just darling!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie and thanks for popping in to see me,
Sheia:)
I love your birdhouses! My daughter and I are painting a bunch of birdhouses that we are going to hang on our fence. I hope you come back to my blog and check them out when they are done!
ReplyDeleteI love your birdhouses! And I love the red too. I'm actually in the process of painting my shed RED. I was a little nervous at first, but I'm loving the pop of color in my back yard. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's your garden? Weeping with envy.
ReplyDeleteI love the birdhouse in the first image...A LOT! It's quite charming. Your "signature" red adds an extra splash of vibrant color to your already beautiful garden.
