Gâteau au chocolat ~

What better to start the new year than with chocolate!

This is the best chocolate cake, moist, dense and oh, so chocolaty. In fact it is called the "Too Much Chocolate Cake" and you can find the recipe...

Oh, I almost forgot, it is incredibly easy to make and freezes well.

So Yummy, a perfect tonic for the post-holiday blues.

(My brother gave me this galleried silver tray for Christmas, isn't it pretty.)

Bon Appetite! And, thank you for visiting.

  2. OH!! the cake recipe looks fabulous! I think I'll have my mom copy it & make this cake the next time we visit. Speaking of visiting... we have to get something on the calendar & see you in person (as opposed to online). I feel as if our calendars will be slowing down, but who knows. Work continues to challenge me & I enjoy the people I work with, so I can see myself staying another year. As for John, he'll be retiring in June or earlier. But, he has so many other projects to occupy his time... and is applying at several universities for more teaching opportunities.
    We'll be in touch soon.

  4. Your photos of the delectable cake are about as wonderful as the cake itself. I have made this before, and it is good (and easy). Your tray is gorgeous.

    Happy New Year!
