Eeeek! A Mouse in the House; decorated shelf

I got up this morning and found a mouse in the kitchen...and he is eating the tarts!

And they are eating the cake!

How on earth are they getting in? Oh, my.

This is totally out of control...

I will have to call in some help!

(This is my beautiful Mozart who really wouldn't know what to do with a mouse.)

I stole the idea for the mice blatantly, and without shame from my daughter who used this idea so charmingly in her post: A Halloween Corner Cabinet. If you would like to see her post and download the link for the mice pattern go to: http://loveandlifeatleadora.blogspot.com/.

Tip - in order to make the mice silhouettes stand upright I hot glued a one inch cube of floral foam to the back of each mouse.

Isn't decorating for Halloween fun!

  1. Love it! Love it! I was wondering how you got the mice to stand up. Very clever! Mozart looks quite ferocious!

  2. Ha, what a great display. I will remember this for my next cheese platter. I will label each mouse with the type of cheese he is next to. Thanks.

  3. you make the holidays so much fun! i can't believe i don't decorate anymore.
i'm hosting "Bunco Babes" in November... perhaps you can keep a look out for something cute to put at each table setting? btw - we aren't playing bunco (the dice game) we are bringing our decoration "cast-offs" and exchanging them... whatever is left i'll donate to the women's shelter.

  7. Oh god, I don´t think I can be friendly with them... I live in the country side and mice are something difficult to control here... so I don´t want to see them ever!!

  9. A find tribute to a very handsome Mozart! He is the ever watchful gentle giant that makes his presence known with his strong silence and requests for special treats. Love him
