Inside was a beautiful book on English decorating, Perfect English, by Ros Byam Shaw and a deck of recipes for container gardens by my favorite gardening guru, P. Allen Smith.
The book is filled with the most beautiful pictures, with lots of good ideas to emulate and enjoy on all of the different English decorating styles.
The garden deck includes the instructions on making a variety of container gardens for the different seasons; on one side of each card is the completed container and on the other side, a list of plants and instructions for completing the project. Very cleaver!
Thank you Ann-Marie for your lovely gifts, I shall use them well. And for those of you that haven't yet visited Brambly you are in for a special treat, one of my favorite posts is on the play house in her garden. You can get there by clicking on here: http://bramblyhomeandgarden.blogspot.com/
These seem to be exactly the right books for you! Lucky you - I bet you enjoy them thoroughly.
