You're very cute but you really need a little TLC and that includes a slight cosmetic change...you see green just isn't the right color for my kitchen.
Now look at you! Much better...yes, black is definitely good; I am glad I kept the cream detail.
And I love you under this painting.
Parfait!
Parfait!
Although this commode is new the painting: Bad Boy, painted by my very talented sister Jacquelyn Haag, has been in my kitchen for a while and I have been looking for something to put under it...it is a small space and this commode via my brother (I have such wonderful siblings) was just right!
I think they compliment each other...what do you think...I think that Bad Boy is very pleased.
Thank you for visiting ~ I hope you have a happy day.

Hello Adrienne:
ReplyDeleteYour newly restored commode is absolutely lovely and fits so well the space you have allocated for it. Yes, we think that the black is much more distinctive, and smarter too.
As for your dish of lemons - they look fabulous. Do you mind if we copy and do something similar?
I adore your sister's painting!
ReplyDeleteI love the use of vibrant colours. She has a great style. Does she have a blog or website where we can view her work?
The black paint makes the blonde wood grain pop and your piece looks so much better!
You certainly have two siblings who share the some creative talents as yourself. Gorgeous painting. Simply gorgeous. Your transformation of the black paint really compliments the piece so much better. I always enjoy a peek into your beautiful home.

What a wonderful, little piece! The black is perfect - it makes the detail of the front stand out so much more than the green did. It's cute the way you've but everything together!

ReplyDeleteHi Adrienne. I think it was really gorgeous in green, but then I scrolled down and WOW, it looks so great brown. I ablsolutely love how you left the drawers. The contrast is beautiful. Mr. Bad Boy, as wonderful as he is, is in some good company now..Happy Monday..Judy

I love your sister's painting. I have always had a soft spot for rooster and chicken images. Your brother's little contribution looks perfect with your sister's artwork. And what a great job you did with the makeover. I think you did the right thing to leave the cream detail. It makes the piece.
