Un petit quelque chose ~ Gobble gobble

I am really looking forward to later in the fall and the holiday season; I am fatigued with heat and the last dregs of summer, as here in Southern California September acts like just another summer month. So  this adorable turkey at Home Goods had no trouble at all making his way into my cart. I love that he is so colorful and glittery. I have a thing for turkeys, nice ones are hard to find. I have no idea exactly where I will put him, but wherever, he will definitely add to the Thanksgiving season.

Now I really must think about Halloween!

  1. Know how you feel about September being just another summer month. I keep telling my hub that we will regret wishing for an end to this warm (read HOT) weather in Louisiana. Linda@Wetcreek Blog

  4. Oh your turkey is magnificence - he will reign over the Thanksgiving dinner. Yes, you are right never see them in the stores only silly ones.
You are so trght about the heat here - I am really TIRED of it and will never complain about being cold again. Just want to put my jeans and sweaters or and light a fire in my outdoor fireplace with some hot mulled wine.
    Have a great weekend.

  5. Gorgeous turkey. Glitter makes everything better. MI certainly has a change in seasons. Before we know it, snow will be on the ground. Happy Friday!

  7. That's a great turkey, Adrienne!
I'm a bit torn about turkeys. On the one hand I like them, on the other I completely dislike it when they tear up my front garden. They just pretty much destroyed my Mexican sunflower. We have a flock of turkeys here and they currently tour the neighborhood instead of staying in the woods. Fun to watch as long as they don't get into the gardens, but I can understand that they can't withstand the temptation.
