I have been so occupied making drapes that I haven't taken time to post, but this afternoon when I went outside I saw that my new David Austin, Alnwick roses are blooming for the first time.
They are so glorious I had to share them with you.
Perfect cups of pink perfection!
I have four bushes of these planted under the back deck, with luck and care they should only get better ~ such a lovely promise for the future.
They really are beautiful, Adrienne. Truly a gorgeous shade of pink. It's nice that when you leave your lovely floral fabric you are treated to the sight of these beauties.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad it's rose season again! These have a wonderful color!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Adrienne, these ARE beautiful! The David Austen rose I bought last year (Heritage) is not doing very well... Perhaps I should plant it somewhere else. I have to think about it until fall.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite DA rose is "Raubritter", a rambler. It's fantastic! I saw it in England in one of those famous gardens (I forgot the name, darn it), it was growing (rambling) behind a garden bench and it was HUGE. I would love to have something like that...
I love David Austen roses. Yours are exquisitely beautiful! I have two - yellow and apricot colors. They always delight my heart. I think it's time to go out and smell the roses!
ReplyDelete~Adrienne~
They have a gorgeous bloom! They are going to be show-stoppers for sure Adrienne. I love how they look like a peony bloom!
ReplyDeletesending hugs...
