# 1 New dress
This dress is a prototype, I have a beautiful rayon fabric I really want to make it out of but I thought I
would try it first in an inexpensive black and white check gingham...just in case I didn't like it.
But I do, and in some ways I might get more wear out of this casual look.
I have just found out that my camera will take timed photos which will be so much better than selfies with the camera blocking in the way. Now, I just have to learn how to do it.
For now, this is the best I can do...don't you love the camera strap...but the dress turned out rather well.
#2 New shoes
I needed a pair of shoes for a formal outdoor event coming up...no towering heels or platforms.
I was so lucky to find these on sale at Macy's. Perfect color and perfect style.
#3 New sunscreen
The dermatologist has recommended using a physical rather than a chemical sunscreen. I like CeraVe products so I thought I would try this one. It protects with zinc and I really like it. It goes on smoothly and leaves a matte finish. Daily use of sunscreen no matter the weather is so important, especially in warmer climates.
That's all my"new" news for a while.
Thank you for visiting I hope you have a happy day.
Super cute dress. I have been thinking of sewing a fall dress I have a pattern that is my favorite and I just use it over and over again. I made some dresses over the summer to wear in Paris sounds like a good future blog post for me haha thanks for the inspiration. Super cute shoes as well. I can't do heels at all so I love the lower style ~Heather

You are such a talented seamstress. The dress looks gorgeous on you. Loving those special shoes too.
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful with your new dress on! It's very pretty. Your new shoes are so pretty and elegant. I love the low heel on them. Thank you for the recommendation about sunscreen...I always forget it! I will have to try this brand.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, can I just say you would look good in a gunny sack!! Now that I've embarrassed you, the new dress is really pretty and would look great in a fancier fabric also. A very flattering style and the shoes are so cute..Happy First Day of Fall..Judy
ReplyDeleteCan't decide who has the more gorgeous hair, you or Miss Twiggley. :)
ReplyDelete...definitely Miss Twiggley. :)
DeleteShe also has a very appealing little squashed up nose (...not that I am criticising your nose, of course... :)

DeleteDon't know why that came twice. Once was quite sufficient. Software, I suspect.
