We are finally having rain! Wonderful, wonderful rain. And it is supposed to continue through the weekend.
There is a drought throughout the state, in Southern California less than one inch of rain has fallen this year. Although this storm will, excuse the pun, be a drop in the bucket, it is a beginning.
So...even though my roof is leaking I am very happy.

Now if things would just warm up a little for all the people suffering the extremely cold temperatures in other states it would be nice.
Thank you for visiting
Hello Adrienne:
ReplyDeleteWe do so share your joy at this obviously much needed deluge.
Is that an image of your garden in the rain? It looks so green and inviting.
Jó hétvégét!
Yes this is in the back garden, not much blooming there now...everything looks better in the rain, it seems to immediately green things up.
DeleteOh my goodness that is a gorgeous view into your garden! I'm so glad for the rain! But a leaky roof is such a pain! Oh well. Such is life! Enjoy a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteI was in Southern California for a few days last week and my family was praying for rain. Thankfully, it has begun. Now for more!

I'm so happy that you finally got some much needed rain. I certainly want you all to get out of this drought pattern. We rely on CA for much of our fresh produce in MI. I would gladly mail you some of my snow to help water your beautiful gardens!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy and thankful for the rain as well - even though it means that we can't continue building our fence this weekend. We had a big a couple weeks ago which brought a wonderful explosion on the garden. I expect something similar from this weekend storm as well.
ReplyDeleteYour back garden looks wonderful!!!
I am so happy that we are finally getting rain - I did a happy dance this morning. Hope you are okay where you live - our street is a little flooded but it's okay.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and dry.
Mary
Your garden is so lovely. I enjoy a gentle rain especially at night. It seems to carry a lullaby with it.
ReplyDeleteSmiles, Dottie
Your garden looks very lush and green for not having any rain. I am so glad you all are getting some much needed rain. We've had 50 inches of snow this winter in Ohio and every time it melts, the yard turns into a swamp. We are the extreme opposite of you and we would so gladly share some of our precip with you.

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to "see" you this afternoon, and your garden is so lovely in the rain! Hoperully your roof won't leak too badly...you can putyour houseplants under the drips :^)
